Jersey Shore Fall Guide 2026: Things to Do, Festivals, Farms & Fall Foliage

Looking for things to do at the Jersey Shore this fall?

Our Jersey Shore Fall Guide 2026 is packed with local ideas for making the most of the season.

Fall is one of our favorite seasons in Monmouth County. The summer crowds begin to disappear, the beaches get quieter, the air turns crisp, and weekends are made for pumpkin patches, cider donuts, scenic drives and exploring some of the places we tend to overlook during the busy summer months.

We put together my 2026 Jersey Shore Fall Guide with some of my favorite fall activities, festivals, farms, hiking trails, scenic drives and local spots throughout Monmouth County and the surrounding Jersey Shore area.

Some farms and seasonal attractions change their hours and availability throughout the season, so be sure to check with them before heading out.

Where does this guide cover?

The guide focuses primarily on Monmouth County and the northern Jersey Shore, including places in and around Long Branch, Red Bank, Highlands, Middletown, Holmdel, Freehold and Colts Neck, with a few worthwhile fall destinations in Ocean and Middlesex Counties as well.

Fall is one of the best times to explore the Shore

One of the things we love most about living here is how different the Jersey Shore feels from season to season. Fall brings an entirely different personality, from the trails overlooking the Navesink to quiet drives along Ocean Avenue after the summer traffic disappears.

Whether you live here already, recently moved to the area, or you’re thinking about making the Jersey Shore home, we hope this guide gives you a few new places to explore this fall.

And if you ever need a local recommendation or want to talk about buying or selling along the Shore, we are always happy to help.
