Welcome to another episode! Today, let’s dive into the vibrant life of Long Branch, NJ, and discover why it’s a fantastic place to call home. Hi, I’m Michele Irizarry, CEO & Broker of Shore Prime Properties. As a long time resident of Long Branch myself, I speak from experience when I say Long Branch has a supportive environment for families, a rich history and today is a host of so many diverse cultures that are celebrated through out the year.Â
Discover Long Branch: The Friendly City
A stroll along the bustling Long Branch boardwalk overlooking the beautiful beach, is enough to fall in love right there, but there is more to discover. On that walk, you could stop off in Pier Village for a bite to eat in the many great restaurants or shop the many stores. The county park, Seven Presidents, is a great spot to bring the family for a beach visit, with a playground and food stands.
Long Branch now has an Arts & Cultural Center, where local artists display their work, fun activities for children are held as well as may cultural events featuring black, Brazilian & Italian celebrations, just to name a few. Long Branch offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness.
Residential Haven: Finding Your Perfect Spot
Being an expansive coastal city, means Long Branch has many sections within its city limits, each offering a unique residential experience. Beachfront North is a subdivision comprised mostly of condos & townhouses that are either waterfront or within close proximity to the ocean. People who live here are a blend of year round residents and seasonal residents who have a second home here. North Long Branch, bordering Monmouth Beach is an eclectic mix of historic single family homes, newly built homes and townhomes. This is a quiet, desirable section of town that is very close to Seven President’s Oceanfront Park. West End is a popular part of town with Brighton Ave as a main street offering restaurants & shops. This is also where the Shore Prime Properties office is located. There are many charming homes here, as well as condos and rental buildings. There are many future projects underway that will add to the residential and commercial landscape in West End.
As a place where my husband & I chose to raise our children, I can say Long Branch has a very supportive school system for working parents. Full time preschool for children ages 3 & 4 is available, free of charge as a part of the public school system. There is also a free summer camp program that is a huge help to keep children stimulated and entertained in the summertime. Whether you’re looking for a cozy cottage, a family home or a luxurious beachfront condo, Long Branch has it all.
Living the Dream: Amenities and Lifestyle:
For day to day life, Long Branch conveniently has a Stop & Shop supermarket in West End. There is also a West End Farmer’s market in the warmer months of the year every Thursday on Brighton Ave in West End. Some of our favorite restaurants are Rooney’s Oceanfront Crab House, Turning Point and Sirena in Pier Village. In the summer, there is a weekly schedule of free, public concerts, movie showings and everyone’s favorite, the Oceanfest on the 4th of July. Whether you work in NYC or want to spend the day there, it is easy to catch a train, bus or ferry in to the city. Live where others vacation – enjoy both the tranquility and the convenience of Long Branch.
